Description

This Teacher?s Guide is meant to complete a cycle of the teaching and learning process outlined in the Longhorn Environmental Activities for Grade 1 Course Book. It is written in line with the New Curriculum developed by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). It is divided into two parts:

Part One has the introduction which gives the syllabus overview and the structure of the book. Part Two has the step-by-step breakdown of each strand given in the Learner?s Book The guide:

? Specifies the required competencies, values and attitudes to be achieved at the end of each sub-strand.

? Gives further insights into the teaching process for each substrand to support what is in the Course Book.?

? Has a systematic explanation of the practical activities given in the Course Book.?

? Specifies the learning activities, teaching and learning materials, and the lesson activities in detail.

? Has answers to the Work to Do?s and other practical activities in the Course Book.
